Attach the wand to this refill bottle, set to your desired spray pattern, and spray at the center of individual weeds to lightly cover weed leaves. For best results, apply to young, actively growing weeds when daytime temperatures are between 45°F and 90°F*. This product is for spot treatment only; do not apply to the entire lawn. • How to Use
  
  For reuse of an existing wand, simply remove the hose connector from the original bottle by pulling the bottom tab underneath and sliding the holster up.
  
• Next, attach the spray holster to the Ortho® WeedClear™ Lawn Weed Killer Ready-to-Use Refill bottle by pushing the holster down onto the knob. Insert the hose connector into the spout on the cap until it clicks into place.
  
• Remove the sprayer from the holster and unfold the wand until it clicks into place. Twist the knob to face 'ON' and turn the sprayer nozzle to the desired spray pattern. Slide the switch on the trigger to 'unlock' and press the trigger to spray at the center of unwanted weeds.
  
• When you're finished applying, turn the nozzle back to 'OFF,' slide the switch on the trigger to 'lock,' twist the knob to 'OFF,' and fold the wand closed, placing it back in the holster.
  

Where Not to Use

• This residential outdoor herbicide is not intended for use on the following grasses: St. Augustinegrass, Bahiagrass, Bentgrass, Centipedegrass, Carpetgrass, Seashore paspalum, Lawns with desirable clovers or legumes, Dichondra, Ornamental plants (flowers, trees, groundcovers, landscape beds and shrubs), certain Turfgrass species, and Gardens, including vegetables, fruit trees, vines and berries.

Where to Use

• Ortho® WeedClear™ Lawn Weed Killer has been intentionally designed for the treatment of individual weeds, patches of weeds, or sparse weeds scattered throughout the following established turfgrass types: kentucky bluegrass, ryegrass, tall fescue, fine fescues, bermudagrass, zoysiagrass, and buffalograss.

When to Apply

• For the best results, apply when weeds are small and actively growing in the spring or fall, and when daytime temperatures are between 45 and 90 degrees.
• Following application, bare spots may be seeded after 4 weeks.

How Often to Apply

Certain hard-to-kill weeds may need to be spot treated 14 days after initial application.

When using the Comfort Wand®, be mindful not to submerge it in water, and remove batteries during long-term storage.

Watering Tips

• If your lawn is looking a little dry, water 24 hours prior to application.
• To avoid possible runoff, do not water 24 hours after application.

Using with other Products

• Following the treatment of unwanted lawn weeds, plant food and soil may be added after one week.
• In the event of an insect infestation, use Ortho® BugClear™ Insect Killer for Lawns & Landscapes no sooner than 4 weeks after the initial application.
